Grace in the unmerited favour of god when we do the wrong thing and need his forgiveness. Mercy is the love he shows to us to spare us of the consequences of our error to stop us from our just deserved punishment. You can't have grace without mercy and you can't have the love of God without grace. We love ourselves by our own selfish foolishness and God's grace and mercy is what we get when God lowers his anger to spare us of unrighteousness.

We deserve the natural punishment of his wrath for wrong doing, but through his ever present power and grace, the shows mercy to us when we least expect it, by lowering ourselves in his presence for a free pardon from our sin. It is a truly beautiful thing t o behold and to watch God's free love of grace at work to let us go from the needless pain and suffering that we have requested by wrong doings, but the mercy, love and compassion he shows us by his unfathomable riches of grace is enough to restore the blessings in our life to a full pardon.

We cannot afford to take his grace for granted and by all rights we don't deserve his mercy but by his love. All was done at the cross when god's son shed his blood for our unrighteousness abounding love, through the death of his son. That he who dies and rose again to purchase the sin of our souls at a price for gods unmerited favour of grace through Christ who took it all. You can't give without having and you can't take for no reason, but grace is that free gift of a pardon for sin for the purpose of perfecting the human race. Grace and mercy go hand in hand, but the love of god is the riches of the kingdom of heaven and the peace of mind which Christ replaces for your sin by the grace of god is mercy and love of the supreme sacrifice.
